My little sis and I have been bustin' our little behinds today to get all of my chair pockets appliqued. We started around noon and didn't finish until 4:45! eesh! It was a LOT of cutting but SO worth it! THANK YOU SISTER!! We decided to just do a bunch of fun fabrics/prints so that regardless of what color scheme my classroom is they will go along! I'm glad this project is OVER! Now for my FAVORITE part of every week! {click on the button to take you to Tara's awesome blog!} This week Tara talks about starting to make the icky FUNctional stuff for our classroom...you know the drill...laminating, cutting, cutting, cutting until your fingers have blisters (seriously!) because whether we like it or not, we go back to school next month! SO, I have plenty more fun things to make to get ready for school but this week my Made it is totally functional. I don't have a good picture of my behavior chart from last year, but I will tell you that it is WORN out. I used velcro dots and my kids had a little rectangle with their name on it that they attached to the velcro dots. I love the system, but when it comes to making a new one.. it's really pricey! I had at least $15 worth of velcro dots and probably more! Although it is totally worth it, there's always a cheaper way! {here's a pic of the front of my classroom...eesh it was messy when I took the pic!} SO, I made a new little clip chart chart: {I do not have it all laminated so I didn't attach it to the ribbon, but you get the idea!} I will use clothespins to move my kids' clips rather than velcro this year! Woohoo! And of course, if you'd like your own copy, here it is! {click on the picture} Graphics from Essentially SCRAP'N and Melonheadz illustrating. I'm linking this freebie up with Classroom Freebies Manic Monday!
